Request Account Deletion

How account deletion works

1. Submit the email address linked to your account using the form below.
2. We send a secure verification link to that email. Open it within 24 hours to confirm you control the account.
3. Once verified, our team reviews and processes your request. Your account and personal data are then deleted or anonymised.

Submitting this form does not delete anything. We will never delete an account without verifying that you control it.

What happens to your data

• Deleted: your account and login, private reports (e.g. litter and wildlife reports with your contact details), saved items, follows, notifications, search history, and AI report drafts.
• Anonymised and kept: public-interest community content such as resident concerns, civic reports, community feed posts and replies, ideas, campaigns and solutions. Your name and contact details are removed; the content remains so it can still serve the community.
• Retained for a legitimate reason: some records may be kept for legal, security or operational purposes, such as moderation audit logs. Any such retention is limited and time-bound.
• Backups & uploaded files: we do not promise that all backups or previously uploaded public files are deleted immediately. Deleted records may persist in platform backups for a limited retention period, and public file URLs may remain accessible until the underlying file is removed. We are transparent about these limitations and will complete removal where possible.
