Methodology
The Swindon Place Health Index combines seven category scores (0–100 each) into an overall index. Scores are based on:
- • Accessibility: Number of accessibility barriers reported, resolved barriers, accessible facilities.
- • Infrastructure: Road and pavement condition, street lighting, public facilities.
- • Environment: Green spaces, tree coverage, litter, fly-tipping reports.
- • Economic Activity: Active businesses, new openings, empty premises.
- • Community Activity: Community groups, projects, events, participation.
- • Public Realm: Public space quality, maintenance, improvements.
- • Safety Information: Community safety alerts, ASB reports, road safety.
This is a platform metric, not an official measurement. Scores are based on community-reported data and may not reflect official council assessments.
